Yesterday, I was stopped by a middle-aged man & an elderly women at Causeway Point, a shopping centre in Woodlands, Singapore. What they asked from me shocked and broke my heart. They were begging for money to buy food as they did not have any. I gave them some money I had and walked away sadly. It is sad to see people living in a supposedly well-developed country still go hungry from poverty. What saddened me more was that people just walked past without even caring to take a second glance.

Have we lost all human compassion in the midst of consumerism...? Seems like it...

It's been 2 whole years since I last updated my blog. A lot have changed since. It's sucks how time really flies though that statement is rather cliched.

I have a job now at an engineering firm. Lame job with a lame payout. But the job is easy and the people's not bad. I guess I'll stay here for a while for experience. That's what really counts in getting a job nowadays.

I still sk8 though I'm not really good at it. But it's one of the few things that really makes me happy. Guess I'll stick to that.

Went out for dinner with Faza's family today cos it's Faza's dad's birthday. Went to some Indonesian restaurant at the International Building in town. It's a buffet, so I ate till I was high. After that went back to Faza's place to play Winning Eleven, and kicked his ass again.

Tanya called me today. A pleasant surprise. I think the last time I heard from her was 2 years ago. Cute girl. Used to have a crush on her. But then again I have crushes on every cute girl I know. Haha. Look forward to hear from her and hang out and catch up with her soon.

Goodbye Kranji Camp...

Yesterday was my last day at Kranji camp. It's supposed to be today but I got a day's OFF cos I'm 1 of the organizing commitee of a BBQ which is goona be held later today for the QM platoon & OETI T-List at Kranji Camp. Although I'm 1 of the organizers, I haven't done shit. Hahaha! I hope to see all of them at the BBQ today. I think I'm really gonna miss people like Mas, Bobo, Juju, Naz, Ah-Koh, etc...

I'm now at Fahrul's place checking some e-mail n stuff. I missed Fahrul. Haven't actually been hanging out with him in a while.

Tomorrow is Ali's b'day celebration at some hotel at Somerset. It's gonna be a small affair. Only close friends. Can't wait. Going with Fahrul & Nizar. Azny & Manazil's gonna bee there. Long time since I've seen them. Reckon' it's gonna be fun.

I guess I'm back to what I was way back then. Loving the loneliness I'm in. Even when I'm in the company of friends, I feel so bored. Solitude is my only solace.

Though I find seclusion a comfort, I feel refreshed to be in the company of my dear friend Faza. It's been a long while since I've seen him. Miss him so much. We'll be going down at the void deck in a while to slack. For now I'll write down some of my thoughts.

I had just been drinking with Nizar n gang at the Esplanade. He totally tripped, saying he lost 8 hours of his time, though he just lost like 2 hours of it. I guess he just forgotten wat he did.

Being Yourself...

A conversation I had with a friend last night really left me thinking. The topic was about "being yourself". I agree with what she said. No one can truly "be themself". Everyone's personality, way of thinking, lifestyle, dressing, etc, is influenced in one way or another by other people. They are not born like that. But the term "not being yourself" can also be applied to individuals who are influenced by other people but they are not liking it, but allowing themselves get influenced and hence, they are not "being themselves". So the advice "be yourself" can be given to SOME people while others, it just can't be applied. So the next time I wanna say "be yourself" to someone, I guess I would rephrase it to, "do whatever makes you happy".

PS. I wanna take a poll for everyone who visits this site and actually knows me. Do you think I'm such a happy person. Think about it and comment on it in my tagboard.

The Wedding

What a dream I had last night. I dreamt about going to a wedding. Guess who's wedding it was? It was Faza's & Ratna's wedding! It was beautiful. They wore the almost the same kind of baju kurung they wore at the last Hari Raya outing. Except the colour was white. They were a gorgeous couple. I cried at their wedding. Damn, so touching. Then the was like this outing after the wedding where we drove around. Then we slacked somewhere and drank. I got drunk on vodka. Could you get dunk in your sleep? Well you sure could.
I can't remember most of my dream, but the wedding was etched in my mind. But I think the real wedding's gonna be better. I ill try not to cry like a baby then. But I would really hope for an outing after the wedding, slack and drink... (n_n)

Dinner With Nadia

Guess what i did yesterday? I met nadia!!! But it's all good. I won't fall for her again. I won't get cheated again. All we did was have dinner, slacked for a while outside KFC Tampines near the big RAIders sign. After that, we went to Pentagon to slack with the Pentagoons. We're just friends now. In fact, thats the way I like it. Nothing more than that.

Back in Pentagon, our plan of being the Singapore Jackass is on the way. We had "practice" last night. We pasted paper tape on parts of our body with hair and give it a violent jerk. I did it on my legs, eyelash and eyebrow. Ajun did it on his legs, back of his neck and his pubic region. Some of the others just did it on their legs. I also painted smiley faces with some red spray paint on my legs and toenail. Iz did it on his tummy. Did you know that spray paint can be peeled off by paper tape. But I guess masking tape is better. It was loads of fun. We're planning on getting a chalet where we're gonna some more stupid shit on camera.

Last Saturday was fun. Hung out with Rai and Fahrul. You can read all about it at Rai's blog. Gotta go to class now.

Np vs. SP (3-2)

Did almost the same shit till the end of shool where me & Da Club wnt towath a soccer match at the NP stadium. It was NP vs. SP where NP popped open a mean can of whoopass. The score at the final whistle was 3 - 2. Victory to Np.

After that, we went to Al-Ameen, as usual. But I left early. around 8:30 to meet YaYa for a job interview at BK. Spent a bloody log time to find a parking lot. It' a concrete jungle in the CBD. I got the job but I decided not to take it cos the pay suck with long working hours, plus, I needed a Typhoid injection. No way am I gonna take that jab. Can't believe I still have the phobia for injections after all these years. I'm such a pussy.

Ambience By The Water

Yesteday I spend my whole day with Faza & Ratna. What a great day we had. First I went to Faza's house at around 11. I was supposed to go to school but I was just too lazy. I slacked at Faza's house surfing the internet, checking my mail, playing realthugz and listening to music. Then after that we fetched Ratna & headed to NYP to pick-up her diploma. We had our lunch of McDonald's there and Ratna gave me a McDonald's sticker from her burger. The Sticker went very well on my helmet. cool. After NYP, we went to the beach to chill. upon reaching the 7-eleven in East Coast, a "mat" came up to me and asked if he could borrow my helmet for a while to fetch someone in Siglap and gave me his IC as a sign of trust. I passed him my Helmet and told him to find me by the beach when he's back. After that, Faza Ratna & me went to beach and slacked till around 6 and then we sent Ratna to school. While waiting for Ratna to end class, Faza brought me to one of the most peaceful spots I ever went to. It's in Kallang facing the river. It was so nice sitting there and reminiscing the times we spent in secondary school.
After Ratna finished school we sent her back riding through the ECP. I think the ECP is one of the most scenic roads in Singapore, don't you think? We spent Ratna and spent the rest of the night under Faza's block slacking with Firdaus.
I'm gonna miss Faza when he's off to serve the friggin' National Service. Sigh...

School was very slacky last Friday, as most Friday's were. Watched Da Mte Boys train & slacked with Azrul & Dalilah. Dalilah looks a lot like Ratna xcept that she's smaller built & she smokes. After that went slacking at Al-Ameen(Bukit Timah) wit da boys till like 11+.
Had quite a slacky day yesteday n the day before. Me n da gang (namely Faza, Fahrul & me) had a slumber party!!! Actually it was just kinda overnighting at my place cos my dad's not at home (my dad went to a vespa pageant in Malacca which I wanted to follow but unable cos I'm not experinced enuff to ride to Malacca n I can't "tumpang" my dad cos he's friend is already "tumpanging" him, hahaha). Went to school Saturday morning but got soaked wet. Been raining cats & dogs these past few days. After chillin' in school with da MTE boys, went to Suhayl's birthday feast at his house & slacked with the Pentagoons a lil. Emediately after that joined Faza & Fir at the b'ball court to sk8. Had a quick pitstopat Faza's crib & went to my crib to chill till around 2. We went to Al-Ameen(Tampines) & slacked till 4. It was still raining heavily then. Went back to my crib & watched '10 Things I Hate About You'. Wanted to watch 'The Fight Club' after that, but we were too sleepy.
Faza went home around 8 to send ratna to work, she was late for work & had Faza bail her out. Fahrul & me woke up at around 12:30 and had brunch of nasi lemak. Went downsatirs for some smokes and chilled with Nazrul. After that slacked at Fahrul place & went to sk8 at the B'ball court soon after. We skated with Shahid's crew, boy did we got burned by them & they were only like 14 - 15 yrs old. Goddammit. Had fun skating the rest of the night with Faza, Kenji, Fir, Fahrul & Wan. can't wait till next weekend.

Got quite tipsy at the gig at esplanade. It was a Bushmen concert. They were playing for quit a long time. They ended their set playing Monkey Man. But I guess it was The Specials version, not Toots & The Maytals. But it was great anyways. Suhana, was there skanking near me, she's very cute. I wanted to talk to her at the gig at NUS but I didn't have the guts to. All that came up from my courage was a smile while we were skanking and an e-mail introducing myself. Hope she replies.

It's been a week since my so-called birthday chalet & I'm still pondering about it & how it changed my percpective of the people I thought I knew. How greed, selfishness & lust conquers the best of someone. The best times I had at the chalet was time I spent alone. And the times spent in that dreadful weekend was time spent at BayBeats. I never regretted leaving the chalet for BayBeats though I regret not spending time with my good companion whose now in Dubai. Wonder if I'd ever see her again. That weekend shall remain etched in my mind for a while. Till the next birthday.....

Back in school yesterday. Pretty hilarious watching the antics of freshies. I was like them 3 years ago, excited & clueless. Hahaha!
Skipped DCIS halfway yesterday and hung out with Steph, Britta and Azny at Clementi McDonald's playing Daidee. Azny went off halfway to go shopping with her friends at beach rd. After that we went over to Steph's place and hang listening to music. Reached home around 9 and watched TV. (the girl on yesterday's Smallville was georgeos!!!) Faizal came over asking for some bolts n nuts for his bike. His back mudguard was loose.

In school rite now wasting time in DCIS lab. Going sk8ing later at 6 with Firdaus. We're gonna play our newly built funbox. Yipeee!

The bands that was worth watching yesterday was eight ball, Plain Sunset, 59 mins & Fishtank. Did pretty much of nothing lately. Slacked by the beach most of the time. Attended Ginny's birthday BBQ last Saturday. It was quite nice, Got to hang out with the BioTech crew again. It's been a while. Spent the rest of the night slaching and eventually sleeping at A-Fad's place with Anuar.

Went to the gig at The Substation with Hajar but spent most of the time there with Ali and Khadijah. Khadijah is sooooo damn cute! I wanna get to know her more, maybe go out with her or something. But I think Ali's interested in her also. So I'm backing off. Also, I think she's like 15. Too darn young for me.

I got a very sad news today. My good friend Alia is threatened with a fatal ailment. She has some king of bloodclot in the brain or something. Quite bad I guess. Why is life so cruel. I was lost for words when she called me a moment ago. Very depressed now... :(

I screwed up so badly! I lost someone I care about. Never lie to a friend even if you think it is best to not hurt her. Cos believe me, she would get hurt even more if she finds out. And worst, you may loose a true friend.

Here's what happened, last Tuesday and Wednesday, I hung out with Britta after school. I can't remember when was the last time we did that, we had a lot of fun. And on Friday, I promised to hang out with her again. Then, Steph asked me if I'm coming down to city hall to meet her and chill out, which is what we often do on Friday's. BUT, that morning, Steph and Britta had a little quarrel so Britta didn't want to meet Steph that day. Thus, Britta twisted the truth when asked if she's coming down. I ended up lying to Steph saying that I'm chilling with my schoolmate near school, cos I didn't want to complicate things between Britta and Steph. So, Britta and I ended up in town. We decided to go to town to avoid Steph cos Steph usually slacked in city hall. But Steph saw us there and she felt betrayed and backstabbed by us cos we lied to her. Till now things are just not the same anymore.

I'm sorry Steph. I never mean't to hurt you. All I wish is things go back the way they were. I already miss the great times we used to have. I can't stand to think that we won't be seeing each other again. Though the things I did is unforgivable, but all I have is these 5 words to offer you.

Today is my mom's birthday. Bought her a pen cos I didn't know what else to get and she's always complaining that there's no pen in the house when she needs to write. Hope you like it mom. A good friend sent me an sms which said, "In life, god doesn't give u ppl u want but he gives ppl u need. To teach u, hurt u, love u & make u exactly the way u shld be." This is somewhat true. People around you do make a difference in your life, be it in little ways or a whole lot. Strange how life goes innit? Like how you love being alone yet it's you feel so empty and it's killing you. Like how you love having company around you yet, you feel so bored with the company that you wished that you could just die. Sigh...

Today started out okay. Had my PQS exam in the morning. Screwed that one up for sure. After the exam, some of us slacked at Al-Ameen Coffeeshop for a few hours. The weather, raining cats and dogs, was perfect for slacking at a coffeeshop and having a refreshing tete-a-tete among buddies. After that, I met Steph at City Hall. Really glad to see her. Had a some drinks, whigh was the highpoint of today, and slacked at the tunnel between Memo and The Esplanade. I was feeling dead bored by then slacking with Steph and her skinhead friends. So, I decide to take a walk along The Esplanade. Started messaging Rafizah and complaining to her about hopeless life. Hope I didn't bore her with it. The rest of the day was such a bore that I don't bother to type it down.....

This is week is my study week, so there's no school. I've studied only a bit and still don't know most stuff. I'm screwed.
Yesterday Maghrib n the gang went to watch Daredevil yesterday. I studied a bit in school and didn't join them cos I ain't got no dough. Halfway through studying, Alia called me and we chatted. It's been a while since I slacked with her.
After studying, Pau and me slacked at Adam Coffeeshop. Talked about his NS days n stuff.
At night, Steph called me. She was in a mess. I managed to cheer her up and we going shopping and drinking today.
I'm still at home and I'm not sure wether I should go school or not. We'll see.

Let's see, what happened in my life recently. I got my freakin' license!!! I can finally ride my vespa. Yesterday, my dad added my name to his vespa's insurance. I'd probably be able to ride my bike around next week. But there's a downfall to all this. NO WEEKEND BOOZIN'!

I'm at the shool computer lab. Skipping my lecture, listening to sweet sounds of Hepcat and writing this shit.
Yesterday was a lazy day till around 4:30pm. Woke up at 2pm, had lunch, checked my e-mail when suddenly my friend Sutan gave me a call asking if I wanted to make money. I asked how and he told me to go down to SATS catering centre. Huh?! That's my old workplace I told him. Thinking I would work part time that day for the same stupid company, but I was wrong. It's a different contractor company. Better I think and the job's slackier. Anyway, till then. Actually I got more to say but I don't seem to remember what. Bleugh!

Played soccer last friday. Damn, it's been a longtime since my body actually exercise and it felt damn good. After that me & my soccer buddies went for a very refreshing swim before having a hearty lunch at Al-Ameen. Great day last Friday was meeting old friends and catching up. I guess I'm gonna do that every fortnight from now on.
Saturday was almost like every other Saturday. Drinking, getting high and got home slept. Almost like other Saturdays cept i done those things with old buddies and catching up with them drinking by the esplanade. They played latin jazz at the esplanade that day which adds to the nice mood of being at the esplanade at night.
Sunday, I hung out at my best friend's place from mid day to night. Catching up. Later that night, watched his uncle trying to repair his bike but to no avail. He's gonna sell his bike now.
I guess last weekend I did a lot of catching up with old friends. Hope to do a lot more though. Till then. Cheers!

How was christmas to you. My was not bad. Though raining non-stop, I ended my christmas at one of my best friends place to have a small christmas dinner with good friends. Dinner was filling, but it didn't have any booze to compliment the day. Hahaha!

Finally I stopped working. Fucking tired and I need to catch up on my sleep. I recently foung out that I'm a fucking big spender. Although I just quit work, I'm friggin' broke. Well, this is what you get from a life of boozing. Sigh...
